This week, we will begin with a study of birds and their features that allow them to take flight. This will lend itself well to our newest STEM study: designing different objects that can fly or catch the wind, and then taking them outside to try! I have chosen 3 different crafts to modify and there are plenty more on the following website:
We will be working to gain fluency in math through applied measurement, and playing a mat facts game called “Knockout.”

This week: Time with Teacher Raffle (I have sent another email with details). My prize is a 1-hr baseball or softball lesson for winner & a friend at The New Albany Baseball Academy on 5/6 at 3pm. I will bring Skip and provide healthy treats.

4/27 Bus Driver Appreciation (if your child would like to send in a homemade card for their bus drivers, we will sing them a Thank You song)
4/27 Take your child to work day (Please let the office know in advance if your child will not be at school)
5/4 Kindergarten Field Trip to Highbanks. We will send more information soon, but I wanted to let you all know in advance that all children will be going together and everyone will need to be an AM KINDERGARTNER on this date!!! We will have no PM Kindergarten. We will take two volunteers from each class and I will post on the volunteer doc.
