This week, we have read many classic fairy tales, and some that are new and silly. We thought about common themes, such as: the number 3, the beginning, magic, good winning over bad, and happily ever after. The kids drew illustrations to match these fairy tale themes, and they should be able to retell for you at least one of the fairy tale stories we shared! We also analyzed recipes for bread dough and for slime, comparing and contrasting as we mixed up a batch of each! It was messy but fun!
Our garden is finally sprouting just a bit, and we are excited to watch it bloom, as the kids bloom into future first-graders! *tear*
Next week, we will prepare the room for our Mother’s Day Coffee Shop. There will be lots of creativity, pictures being printed, memories shared, and collaboration as we transform the room and prep binders. I am keeping binders here over the weekend to begin the organization process.
Don’t forget: Thursday, 10:15 AM and 2:30 PM will be our Mother’s Day Event. Please send me an email if your child does not have a special guest who is able to attend the event!
Friday, May 10th will be the Pinney Fun Run! The PTO will send out more info, but the kids will be able to run a mini-race course in the back of the school, and if they would like to donate money for a Dublin non-profit called Little Hercules Foundation, https://littleherculesfoundation.org/, which was created to help those diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, they may bring in a dollar or more Monday-Friday! Have your child wear running/walking gear on Friday the 10th!
